What is Doula?

A Professional Doula's job is profound and yet very simple.  She is there to provide physical, emotional and educational support.  She works with you to gain an understanding of what is important to you and what your desires are for you birth.  Her level of expertise allows the non birthing partner to relax and focus on supporting the mother.

 


  •                    Labor Doula      
         

    Doula Birth Package:
    • Two to Three Prenatal visits to become acquainted, discuss your preganancy, labor and birth plan.
    • Early labor support in your home
    • Ongoing support for you and your partner throughout labor and delivery.
    • Postpartum support in hospital (about two hours) immediately after birth
    • One postpartum visit in your home to discuss your birth, written birth record and assistance with feeding or parenting issues
    • Referrals for additional pregnancy and postpartum support such as breastfeeding assistance and newborn care.
    • Phone and or email consultations as needed throughout pregnancy and postpartum adjustments
